About us

Welcome to the Wardell Fire Department web page. Our Fire Department protects an agricultural community located in the Missouri Bootheel. We protect the towns of Wardell, North Wardell, Homestown, Pascola and over 100 square miles of populated rural area. Along with the normal hazards associated with protecting these towns we are responsible for: 8 miles of U.S. Interstate 55, a Main Burlington Northern rail line that commonly carries hazardous materials, and the Kindergarten through 12th grade North Pemiscot schools. We protect many industrial facilities that include cotton gins, several agricultural chemical and liquid fertilizer distributors as well as many farm storage structures. We also supply mutual aid to surrounding fire departments. Our area presents some unique challenges that we are proud to meet everyday.
